Wide Excision of Proximal Tibia and Reconstruction With Megaprosthesis
A 24 year old patient visited the hospital with a history of pain and swelling over the left leg. After evaluation, the patient has been diagnosed with large volume non metastatic Chondro Sarcoma left Proximal tibia. After discussion with team in Tumor Board we had advised surgery. We have performed a wide excision of proximal tibia and reconstructed with mega prosthesis and gastroc flap cover. The patient is happy and indepedent performing his daily routine normally for last 5 years. Since he is an auto driver he has resumed his duties after3 months and he remains to be disease free living happily with his family.
